A beautiful post which looks into why newsletters thrive and why blogs lag behind. In short, newsletters are far easier to set up in terms of setting up, writing, distributing and getting paid. If we improve on those, we could get more vibrant writing on the web.

On getting paid, it’s much harder if you’re in a country like Zim where PayPal and Stripe don’t work. I have a way around it, but I don’t want to rely on it for long.
