Some while ago, I discovered the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, the cheapest EV in the world and the best selling EV in China. It had no airbags and A/C, but it does now. I saw the Mini EV the other day and I also discovered that there’s a big modding community for this car.
The other day I saw someone complain that modern technology isn’t as exciting as it was before. I consider it part true and nostalgia, but if you want exciting check, China is your best bet. There’s a lot of dystopian tech sure, but a lot of really cool tech1 like these cars.
Tell me that pink car isn’t cool as shit, I dare you. Sure blandness is what’s mostly sold, but customization is well and truly alive. I hope to bring that energy to my personal website 👀.
