Here’s a project recapby Tania where she shares how she made TakeNote, an open source note taking app which seems to be my sort of deal. Sadly, it doesn’t support mobile or tablets yet since I like to bounce around them often.

Most interesting is her not wanting to make a hosted service. I resonate many of her fears like running a server and all the liability that brings, potential cost and it’s overall a lot of work. It didn’t stop her from learning a lot from it.
