I came here after Mozilla’s layoffs where someone pointed out this AMA which wondered by Mozilla isn’t cutting executive pay (especially since it’s the only browser that doesn’t make money).

She didn’t want to because she’s taking a “discount” compared to what a CEO should get and anything less than 2.5 million is too big a discount to ask people and their families to commit to. I get her point is on CEOs in general but why get 2.5 mil if you’re running a company that’s still losing money and market share?

Brendon Eich wasn’t this bold and he invented JavaScript in 3 weeks. I mean, he was a douche but not an obscenely compensated one.
